How You'll Help

Your job, at its core, is to keep great work moving—on time, on strategy, and on brand—for a handful of clients who count on us. You'll be the connective tissue between those clients and our creative team: listening closely on calls, then instinctively turning what you hear into action.

That might mean building a presentation to make a strategic point, drafting a work-back schedule before anyone thinks to ask for one, or chasing down a client for the thing we need to keep things moving.

You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our founder and a senior strategist on a range of accounts—from big, established brands to scrappy startups finding their footing. At first, you'll shadow and execute: briefing the team, managing rounds of review and revision, and keeping schedules airtight.

As you find your feet, you'll take on more—leading the calls, sharpening the strategy, sniffing out what's a good ad versus a not-good ad, and growing the accounts you own.

We won't sugarcoat it; some clients are demanding and the pace is real. But it'll be fun, challenging, rewarding—and never boring. Plus, you'll have a fantastically talented team to support you (and a founder who's got your back).

If you answer yes to most of these questions, you'd be a great fit:

A Day in the Life of this Job

8:15 AM The status call

You wake up. Slug some coffee. Jump on your computer. Pants optional. You fire up Zoom to host a status call with one of your clients. Vulgar's founder is on the line too, riding shotgun as the strategist—but you're the MC. You walk everyone through the agenda you prepped, an energetic brainstorm breaks out, ideas fly, strategies form, and measurable goals get agreed to.

8:45 AM The recap

You jot down the important points as you pepper in your own ideas and MC the meeting. You even crack a joke that gets everyone riffing along with you. You wrap the call by echoing back all the next steps and agreements. Everyone gives a thumbs up, and you end the Zoom. You turn up your tunes and post a bullet-point recap to Slack to keep your pod on the same page.

10:30 AM Proactive mode

"Next up," you think. On that call, the client hinted they're weighing a big strategic decision. Nobody asked you to—but you open Claude, rough out a point of view, and shape it into a sharp little presentation that'll help them decide. Then you crack open ClickUp to kick off a new project and notice the briefing process feels bloated—too many sub-tasks, too much noise. So you trim it, streamline the routing, and message the team the cleaner version. Fresh eyes, better system.

11:20 AM The brief

Next you write a brief for a set of ads the group just talked through. You use Vulgar's standardized process—with an assist from AI to move fast—and by the end of it you have an aha moment about what the work should be. You even sketch up the idea yourself to inspire the team. As a last step, you record a Loom talking through the brief so nothing gets lost in translation, attach it, and treat yourself to more coffee.

1:00 PM Keeping it moving

1 PM. You pop open a different view to see everything running across your pod—your copywriter, senior designer, designer, and video editor. One job's stuck, waiting on feedback the client still owes us. This particular client runs quiet, so you don't sit around hoping. You send a friendly-but-firm nudge, get what you need, and slot it into the creative queue for the team.

1:45 PM Founder check-in

A Zoom call comes in. It's Vulgar's founder. He asks if he can help you with anything, offers a few coaching tips on a tricky client situation, reminds you that the north star is always to protect the account—and hands you a friends-and-family discount code for one of the agency's clients.
